A native of Iran has been involve with the art of Persian calligraphy for past 26 years.
He has trained by different Grand masters of  “Iran’s School of Calligraphy”  like:
Mr. Amirkhani and late Mr. Arabshahi, where he also received his calligraphy diploma,
and later became an official instructor and taught in Tehran, Iran.

Sina also received the honor of being student of Grand Master Mohammad Ehasie for number
of years and learning different schools of calligraphy. He has greatly influenced by this Grand master.

Sina has been active in different calligraphy exhibitions in Houston, Minneapolis, Washington DC,
and Tehran for the past 15 years. He also lectured in the subject of Persian calligraphy in Houston TX, Minneapolis MN, Washington DC,and Tehran. Sina lectures in  “International Conference of Calligraphy in the World of Islam” subjecting “Visual Foundation of Nastaliq in Architecture”  October 2002, Tehran. Most recent, ArtInIran.org sponsored his illustrated lecture in the subject of History of Persian Calligraphy at Fisher gallery, Washington DC, July 2003  

Sina has collected worked in private collections in Tehran, Amsterdam, Houston, New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Los Angles, and Minneapolis.

Next to the art of Persian calligraphy, Sina is also very interested in the research and writing in the subject of Persian calligraphy. Sina, is the first person to record (slides) the calligraphic tile work of  Gholam Reza (1829-1887) in Tehran, 1989. Most recently, Sina’s finished article is  “ the significant of the singular elements in Nastaliq”  Minneapolis, 2003.

Sina is an Alumni member of Minneapolis College of Art+Design (MCAD), class of 1998, and founder of Geesu Art+Design, 2002.
